Supporting your Natural Resiliency
My practice is about creating and enhancing a meaningful life for individuals and in relationships. Through a belief that our disturbances--about ourselves, others or life in general - lead us to the doorway of wholeness, we work together to unfold and recognize that essence. Thus, I approach each client with a desire to follow and facilitate their unique healing process. Through deep compassion toward self, dreamwork and process work, I identify lesser conscious aspects of one's self, which we work together to bring into awareness. With this awareness one can find more meaning and a stronger sense of purpose in life.
I use methods including mindfulness, Somatic EMDR, Jungian Psychology, IFS/Parts work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based therapies to facilitate this discovery and healing process. Many of the thoughts and behaviors we find problematic are our learned coping and survival skills. When approached with compassion and understanding, healing can happen. This can happen through individual therapy or relational therapy.
I have over 30 years of experience working with issues around trauma, diversity, and fostering depth in life. I am particularly interested in exploring outer and inner diversity with those who feel marginalized from the mainstream. This could include unresolved trauma, ethnicity and race, gender, sexuality, and/or relationship difficulties.
